New York City elementary schools reopened amid the continuing coVID-19 pandemic. Students were originally due back in early September. The first day of classes was delayed after the teacher's union said it wasn't safe to reopen schools.
German officials agreed Tuesday to limit the number of people allowed to gather at both public and private events. The limits are meant to slow therise of COVID-19 in areas that have seen an uptick in cases.
And finally, firefighters battled a blaze Tuesday at a recycling facility in Albuquerque. Officials said the building was evacuated and there are no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
