BBC News. Hello, I'm Gareth Barlow.

Facebook is banning advert that seek to undermine the outcome of elections, including the US presidential poll on November 3rd. It will prohibit any advert that call for specific methods of voting, for example, by mail, as being inherently fraudulent or corrupt. Here is our North America correspondent Peter Bowes. The policy which takes effect immediately and will apply to both Facebook and Instagram is an extension of an earlier ruling, which addresses premature claims of election victory. Facebook says its new policy also bans the use of isolated incidents of voter fraud to delegitimize the result of an election. For weeks, President Trump has been claiming that November's presidential election will be rigged, and he cited a number of small, unrelated incidents to make his case that fraudulent activity is already happening on a larger scale.

The Tokyo stock exchange has suspended trading in all shares due to a technical glitch. Exchange says trading on the $6 trillion market, the 3rd largest after New York and Shanghai, will be halted all day. Exchanges and other Japanese cities which use the Tokyo Stock Exchange, are also down.

The charity Save the Children is warning that measures to deal with the coronavirus could lead to the biggest increase in child marriage in 25 years. It says the economic fallout of the pandemic is pushing more people into poverty. Caroline Hawley reports. Until recently, the rate of child marriages around the world had been falling. But Save the Children says that the devastating economic impact of coronavirus is now reversing that progress and deepening gender inequality. Poverty is forcing more and more girls out of school and into work or marriage. Around the world every year, 12 million girls are married offen to much older men. For 2 million of them, according to Save the Children, it happens before their 15th birthday. Now, as a result of COVID, the charity estimates, there could be at least half a million more child marriages this year alone.

A California fire chief has spoken of the urgency of containing two fires in northern California before winds pick up again on Thursday. Firefighters are battling the Zogg fire in Shasta County that's killed four people and the grass fire raging in the Napa Valley wine region. From there, Jonathan Vigliotti from CBS News has this report. The fast moving grass fire continues to burn through the world famous Napa Valley, destroying dozens of homes and businesses and threatening hundreds more. More than 80000 people have been forced to flee, including the entire towns of Calistoga and Angwin. You're looking at your house burning, am I ever gonna see it again? Some of the region's historic wineries and vineyards have suffered millions of dollars in damage. This year's wild fires have so far killed 30 people.
