Less than two weeks after leaving office, former President Barack Obama issued a statement voicing his support for the protests going on around the country, saying “American values are at stake.”
The President had said that he’d refrain from criticizing President Trump, but retained the right to speak out on issues that directly impact his core values.
Mr. Obama’s spokesman reiterated what the former President had said during his two terms office, that he fundamentally disagrees with the notion of discriminating against individuals because of their faith or religion.
