1. Verb tenses tell us how an action relates to the flow of time.

relate to 涉及; 同…有…关系; 与…协调
例句：How do these relate to the product being designed?

2. To form other verb tenses, you have to add a form of have, be or will in front of the verb.

in front of 面前; 在…前面; 当着…的面
例句：A doctor has the title 'Dr' in front of his name.
医生的名字前有“Dr”这个称呼。

3. It is difficult to think about time distinctions that do not exist in your own language.

think about 考虑…; 捉摸…
例句：It was not necessary to think about it.
没有必要去操心。

4. In general, simple tenses express facts and situations that existed in the past, exist in the present, or will exist in the future.

in general 通常; 大体上; 一般而言
例句：I like games in general, and especially football.
各种运动我一般都喜欢，尤其是足球。
