BEIJING, July 23 -- Emma Watson has announced which Ivy League school she'll be attending in the autumn.

The 19-year-old, who plays Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, previously said that she was attracted to American universities because of the anonymity she feels they can afford her.

    The actress has now confirmed that she will be a student at Brown University in Rhode Island, People reports.

    "I am [going to university in the autumn] - to Brown, which is an Ivy League establishment in the USA. I've got a place there to read literature," she said.

    Her choice of school was also accidentally leaked by co-star Daniel Radcliffe in an interview with The Guardian, after speculation grew following her tour of U.S. schools last October.

    Watson recently admitted that she hoped her college roommate wouldn't be a Potter fan.
