BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhuanet) -- DreamWorks' animation, "Shrek Forever After", the fourth installment of the "Shrek" film series, has announced a delay to its Chinese mainland opening until August 16, Sina.com.cn reports.
"Shrek 4" has made big profits since its global release this May. It was originally set to show on the Chinese mainland on July 12. However, the 3-D animation has to meet local director Feng Xiaogang's new movie "Aftershock", which will hit the big screen on July 22. In order to avoid box-office loses, "Shrek 4" has made the decision to move.

It is reported that "Shrek 4" will be shown in 3-D and 3-D IMAX formats at the same time on the Chinese mainland.
