WASHINGTON, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Belgian Kim Clijsters crushed American Venus Williams 6-2, 6-1 on Saturday to win the Miami hardcourt WTA title.

The 14th seed, who retired from the WTA for more than two years and made a comeback last year, won the tournament for the second time following her triumph in 2005.

She needed just 58 minutes to beat the third-seeded Williams, who won the Miami title in 1998, 1999 and 2001.
