LONDON, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Bayern Munich eliminated Manchester United on away goals for the UEFA Champions League semifinals despite losing 3-2 in their second leg away match on Wednesday.
Arjen Robben scored a late volley in the 74th minute to send Bayern Munich into the Champions League semifinals against a 10-man Manchester United at Old Trafford.
From the aggregate score 4-4, Bayern Munich advanced for its first semifinalist since 2002 while England was without a team in the final four for the first time since 2003.

The United, which started Wayne Rooney a week after he injured his right ankle, led 2-0 after seven minutes from goals by Darron Gibson and Nani who added another in the 41st minute to make it 3-0 before Ivica Olic pulled one back for Bayern in the 43rd.
United was reduced to 10 men in the 50th when Rafael da Silva was sent off after being shown a second yellow card for tugging at Franck Ribery.
Bayern will next face Lyon, which lost 1-0 at Bordeaux in an all-French quarterfinal but advanced on 3-2 aggregate to reach its first Champions League semifinal.
