LONDON, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga ousted world No. 2 Rafael Nadal from the ATP World Tour Finals while he reached the semifinals for the first time on Thursday.
As Swiss master Roger Federer had booked his semifinal berth one round earlier and American Mardy Fish could only play for honor in the last group match after two defeats, Tsonga and Nadal were set to lock horns for the other semifinal place from Group B.
The world No. 6 Tsonga didn't squander his chances while facing a below-par Nadal, taking the victory 7-6 (2), 4-6, 6-3.
