HARARE, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Henrietta Rushwaya, former chief executive of Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA), was reported to be arrested Thursday on charges of corruption, bribery and match-fixing.
The country's state television said she was in custody at Avondale police station in an upscale Harare suburb.
Rushwaya, fired two years ago, sent the national team to play unsanctioned friendlies in Thailand and Malaysia two years ago and a betting syndicate allegedly fixed the results.
