ISTANBUL, May 22 (Xinhua) -- Turkish prime minister said here on Saturday he was not worried about the continuation of uranium enriching move in Iran while French foreign minister expressed his concern about the issue.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference on the sideline of the UN Somalia Conference that it is not a big deal if Iran continues enriching uranium because everyone has a right to enrich for peaceful purposes.

He hailed the nuclear swap deal in Iran as a "victory of diplomacy," saying Iran does not back off from the agreement despite negative developments.

"Despite all the negative developments, Iran not giving a negative response is a victory of diplomacy," he said.

Turkey, Brazil and Iran signed an agreement on Monday whereby Iran would swap 1,200 kg of low-enriched uranium for 120 kilograms of 20 percent enriched fuel from the Vienna Group (the United States, Russia, France and the IAEA).

The swap was to take place in Turkey and was hailed as a sign of Iran's good-will and proof in its desire for peaceful nuclear energy, however the U.S. announced a new round of sanctions against Iran.
