英语文摘：Clinton calls for tough decisions for Cyprus reunification

She said leaders from both communities must remain focused during the complicated negotiations.

Clinton said Cyprus is an important partner and friend of the United States and the U.S. commitment to ending the division of the island and promote peace and security is unshakable.

"But it is up to you, the leaders of the Greek Cypriot community from around the world to support this process and the tough decisions that will be required for a comprehensive solution, "Clinton added.

She said the reunification of the island is in the best interests of not only of the people of Cyprus, but for the region, and it could send an example for the international community as well.
