PARIS, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Over half of the French people have no confidence in the newly-reshuffled government lead by the same Prime Minister, Francois Fillon, according to a poll released on Monday by local media.

Some 64 percent of French have "no confidence" in the new government born on Sunday, while 89 percent think it will pursue President Nicolas Sarkozy's old policies as he has planned since 2007, the survey conducted for radio channel Europe 1 showed.

About half of the respondents consider the inclusion of ex- premier Alain Juppe in the new government as defense minister a " bad thing."

Furthermore, 72 percent of the people think centrist Jean-Louis Borloo, previous ecology minister and ex-No. 2 in the government, was right to leave.

The online poll collected the opinions of 775 French citizens above age 18, according to the pollster Harris Interactive.
