从京都议定书到哥本哈根

Another shortcoming of Kyoto was the developing countries like China, India and Brazil would require to make the same cuts. The upcoming Copenhagen summit was intended to pick up where Kyoto left off. The Copenhagen agreement would reflect a growning awareness about climate change and a new world dynamic.

But at the recent APEC meeting in Singapore, leaders agreed that finding a successor to Kyoto at Copenhagen would be highly unlikely.

It's been a long journey from Kyoto to Copenhagen, but where we ultimately end on this climate change issue remains a mystery.
