The World Health Organization has assured the public there's no evidence, at this point, of any significant international spread from the nuclear site.

Our reporter has been speaking to WHO Representative, Michael O'Leary, in Beijing. He's urging the public to halt any rumours sparked by fears of nuclear radiation.

Q1: Rumors of threatening levels of radiation have been circulating through a variety of technological means, which have resulted in panic purchases of certain goods and misuse of iodine in a number of countries. What are your views on the public reaction?

Q2: What kind of measures would you suggest people take to protect against possible radiation contamination?
