China is likely to unveil more tightening measures this year, to further rein in the country's real estate sector. According to a report issued by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, future property policy will likely focus on the management of property ownership.

China's major think tank wrote that despite current property policies covering land supply, property transaction management and structure supervision, speculative demand has not been effectively dampened. So the central government will extend those policies from the new home sales market, to property ownership to ensure its effectiveness. But the report forecasts that those policies might run into trouble, because they interfere with the vested interests of some property owners.
