China has enjoyed a bumper summer harvest this year, despite unfavorable weather. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, total output of summer grain in 2011 is more than 126 million metric tons, a 2.5 percent increase on last year.
尽管天气不好，中国今年还是迎来了一个丰盛的夏收。根据国家统计局的统计，2011年夏粮总产量超过1.26亿公吨，比去年增长2.5%。
The increase is mainly attributed to expand harvesting areas with an annual increase of 0.4 percent, as well as higher yields which climbed just over 2 percent year-on-year.
这次的增收主要归功于收获地区的扩大，每年增长0.4%，还有就是更高的产量，与上年同期数字相比增长2%。
The harvest is expected to ease pressure on the nation's surging inflation rate, after a severe spring drought and flooding in the country's agricultural areas triggered worries about this year's grain output.
在国家农业区严重的春季干旱和洪涝引发人们对今年粮食产量的担忧之后，这次丰收有望能缓解国内通胀上升的压力。
