Chinese Super Leagues best side - Guangzhou Evergrande - are in Japan for their semi final match against Kashiwa Reysol later today.
Evergrande are playing in the last four for the first time, in just their second continental appearance. And they’re looking good in the Champions League so far this season after completing a 6-1 aggregate win over Qatar’s Lekhwiya in the quarter-finals, but there’s no room for complacency against Kashiwa, who remain unbeaten so far.
The semi-final showdown is a rematch from last year’s group stage where the Chinese side won 3-1 in the return fixture. Evergrande are expected to keep their front-line trio of Dario Conca, Elkeson and Muriqui.
The South Americans all scoring in Doha last week, as they thrashed Lekhwiya 4-1 in the second leg of the last eight.
