Moutier (SUI) FIG Office, June 1, 2008: On April 21st, 2008, the FIG Presidential Commission made a decision concerning the case Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) vs Irina Deriuguina and decided to suspend Ms Deriugina from her function as a member of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Technical Committee and any other official function within the FIG.On May 09, Ms Deriuguina appealed to the FIG Appeal Tribunal and asked for a suspension of these decisions until the case will be treated.The request of suspension of the FIG decisions has been denied.The hearing by the FIG Appeal Tribunal will take place in Geneva (SUI) on June 30, 2008.Credit: FIG.
