Whip 这个词的原意是指拿鞭子抽打，但当人家说“I am whipped.”时通常指的不是“我被鞭子打了”，而是说“我很听女(男)朋友的话”，或是更传神一点“被另一半管得死死的”，例如有些女生会不准她男朋友跟以前的朋友在一起，还有不管何时何地她都要男朋友陪，如果男生也乖乖地听话了，这时我们就说他：“He is whipped.”
