名人教英文：「种票」直译 vote-planting?
近日有许多有关选举「种票」的新闻，种票，用英文讲，许多人或会直译vote-planting，但常规英文一般只说vote-rigging。这两个讲法有什么分别呢？
照计，to plant除了解作「栽种」，还有许多负面意思，包括「栽赃」、「做媒」等等︰
the police were accused of planting the evidence on the suspect. 警方被控插赃嫁祸这个疑犯。
the candidate planted his own supporters in the audience. 那候选人安排了自己的支持者在观众堆中「做媒」。
i have planted a spy in his team. 我已在他的团队中安插了一名间谍。
they plan to plant a microphone in her office. 他们计划在她的办公室安装米高峰；亦即安装偷听器。这句子中的plant，等于place secretly、hide。
出奇地，纯粹是习用问题吧，vote-planting、to plant votes就是不见得通用。反过来，vote-rigging其实是个大围笼统的选举舞弊用语，当中自然包括我们说的人名与地址不符的种票，却同时涵盖任何有关选票的「做手脚」事宜，像故意数错票、丢掉一箱票、明明是有效票却当做废票等等。
