名人教英文：改变世界的意念：医疗合作、绿色能源
前美国总统克林顿在《时代》周刊the case for optimism一文提到五个改变世界的意念，包括医疗合作和绿色能源。
政府、企业和非牟利团体三方合作改善全球医疗，渐见成效。他举例："... in 2002, only 230,000 people in the developing world were getting treatment (治疗) with lifesaving but expensive antiretroviral medicines. today, in part because the pharmaceutical industry (制药业) moved from being a low-volume, high-margin business to a low-margin, high-volume one with guaranteed payments (保证付款), that number is 8 million."
low-margin, high-volume即「薄利多销」。克林顿的基金会邀请药厂和发展中国家谈判，政府保证付款，药厂则降低艾滋病药物的售价，令更多人得到治疗。
政府、企业和基金会亦合作训练医疗人才、推广健康饮食，以求长远改善医疗："the troika of government, the private sector and foundations (基金会) is seeking to improve health care for long term." troika在俄语原指三头马车，引伸指三个一组的事物。
经济方面，克林顿说："there's no denying that too much of the world is still mired in an economic slowdown, but some of the brightest examples of significant and lasting opportunity are right under our noses."
