Leak: to give secret information to the public, for example by telling a newspaper 泄露,透露(秘密信息);走漏
The contents of the report were leaked to the press. 报告的内容被泄露给了新闻界.

privy: allowed to know about something secret 准许知情;可参与秘事
She was not privy to any information contained in the letters. 她未获准接触那些信的内容.

Repercussion: an indirect and usually bad result of an action or event that may happen some time afterwards (间接的)影响,反响,恶果
The collapse of the company will have repercussions for the whole industry. 这家公司的垮台将会给整个行业造成间接的负面影响.
