BEIJING, Sept. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Instead of being able to cherish his first days with daughter James, Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds was dealing with being betrayed by one of his best friends.
As any excited new parent does, Ryan Reynolds had sent photos of his newly born daughter from the delivery room to his close friends. He was shocked when he found one of his friends tried to sell the pictures to the highest bidder.
"A guy that I'd known for my whole life, one of my closest friends growing up, he had been shopping pictures of my baby around," he said.
Ryan Reynolds, 38, explained that his childhood friend of 25 years did it simply wanting to make money off of the photos, who had asked him for money before. After giving his friend several checks, he told his friend, “There's no more checks to be had”.
Ryan Reynolds said the betrayal "was like a death. It was like one of those devastating things to find out."
