NEW YORK, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Visiting Xinhua News Agency President Cai Mingzhao on Thursday met here with President of Reuters Stephen Adler and the two exchanged views on transformation of news media in the digital era.
Cai said Xinhua and Reuters could explore more ways to carry out their cooperation more effectively at the digital age.
There is a huge demand for financial and economic information in China's market, and Xinhua will make necessary changes to meet its clients'requirement, Cai added.
Noting that the first cooperation contract between Reuters and Xinhua dated back to 1957, Adler, who is also editor-in-chief of Reuters, stressed his agency values a lot the friendly relationship with Xinhua.
He said he looks forward to exploring new ways to further that partnership amid the digital age and globalization.
