BEIJING, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Defending champion Guangdong Hongyuan overcame 22 turnovers to hold off Xinjiang Guanghui 110-106 in over-time in the 32nd round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.
Guangdong, who has won 13 consecutive games, remains atop the league standings with 26 wins and four defeats.
Neither side had a clear advantage throughout the game as Guangdong supershooter Zhu Fangyu made two free throws to tie it 98-all with 22.3 seconds to play before Xinjiang's Tim Pickett missed a 3-pointer on the buzzer.
Former NBA star Aaron Brooks had six of Guangdong's 12 points in overtime with two crucial free throws after Xinjiang closed it on 106-108 with four seconds left.
Wilson Chandler notched 46 points as Guangsha cruised past Chouzhou on 110-101 in the splashy Zhejiang Derby.
J.R. Smith, Chandler's former Denver Nuggets teammate, scored 33 points for Chouzhou, who squandered a 10-point first-quarter lead on 32-22, was stormed back by Guangsha's efficient defence.
