COLOMBO, June 12 (Xinhua) -- China became overall champion with a haul of 15 gold, five silver and three bronze medals at the 15th Asian Junior Athletics Championships that ended here on Tuesday.
The all-mighty Chinese team swept five more golds on Tuesday, which came from Chen Mudan in women's triple jump, Xie Zhenye in men's 200m, Lin Huijun in women's 200m, Wu Limin in women's 800m and Teng Haining in men's 800m.
Chinese Taipei finished runner-up with a record of six golds, three silver and six bronzes.
India jumped to the third place from seventh by winning the 10km race walking, men's 5,000m and heptathlon.
Thailand went down to fourth with four golds, two silvers and two bronzes.
