BUJUMBURA, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The Lydia Ludic Burundi soccer club qualified for the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday afternoon.
In a return game at the Prince Louis Rwagasore stadium in the Burundian capital Bujumbura, the home team beat Democratic Republic of Congo's (DR Congo) Motema Pembe 2-0 with goals scored in either half.
During the first game held in the DR Congo's capital Kinshasa three weeks ago, Motema Pembe beat Lydia Ludic Burundi 1-0.
The return game would have taken place last Sunday at Prince Louis Rwagasore, but was postponed for the death of three players of Motema Pempe in a car accident in Kinshasa.
Burundi's Lydia Ludic will play Cote d'Ivoire's ASEC Mimosas in two weeks in Abidjan city.
