GENEVA, June 6 (Xinhua) -- The International Olympic Committee (IOC) opened Thursday the bidding processes for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games and the 3rd Winter Youth Olympic Games in 2020.
The bidding process for the 2022 Olympic Winter Games will feature two phases and conclude with the selection of the host city during the 127th IOC Session, to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 31 2015, said the IOC.
Each National Olympic Committee (NOC) can nominate one city to enter the bidding process by the deadline of November 14, 2013.
The bidding process for the 3rd edition of the Winter Youth Olympic Games will conclude with the election of the host city in May or June 2015.
Each NOC can nominate one city to enter the bidding process by the deadline of November 28, 2013, according to the IOC.
