JERUSALEM, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Norway won 3-1 over England in a match of 2013 UEFA U-21 championship tournament on Saturday, marking their first UEFA European Under-21 Championship Group A triumph.
On 15 minutes and 34 minutes Norway scored two goals by Fredrik Semb Berge and Jo Inge Berget respectively. Norway kept their lead till the end of the first half.
After the restart, Norway proceeded their attack and scored a goal by Magnus Eikrem on the 52nd minute. England only scored one goal on the 57th minute through a penalty kick.
The loss left England no hope of qualifying for the semifinals with one group round to go.
In the other match played on the same day of Group A, Italy earned a 4-0 victory over hosts Israel.
