NAIROBI, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Belgian Paul Put unveiled a youthful squad on Wednesday as he named his first team since being named Kenya's football head coach.

Winger Benjamin Mosha (Sony Sugar), midfielder Lawrence Juma (Nzoia Sugar FC) and defender Charles Momanyi (Kakamega Homeboyz FC) are the shock inclusions in the team.

Domestic champions Gor Mahia FC lead the queue with seven players having crowned their 16th Kenyan title last weekend following the conclusion of the country' s top-flight league.

Wing back Wellington Ochieng was rewarded for his impressive showing with a maiden call-up in a team that also includes Gor teammates, Musa Mohammed (captain/defender), Boniface Oluoch (goalkeeper), Harun Shakava (defender), Ernest Wendo (midfielder), George Odhiambo (winger) and Kenneth Muguna (midfielder).

Arch-rivals and domestic cup winners, AFC Leopards SC have four in Put' s first team; Duncan Otieno, Whyvonne Isuza, Dennis Sikhayi and budding striker, Vincent Oburu.

League top scorers, Masoud Juma (Kariobangi Sharks FC), Kepha Aswani (Nakumatt FC) and Stephen Waruru (Ulinzi Stars FC) also made the cut with Bernard Ochieng (Vihiga United FC) the only second division player who made the team.

Kenya is bidding to win the regional title for the first time since 2013 when they won the Cecafa trophy at home.

Put was named head coach on Saturday to take the place of Stanley Okumbi who was relegated to the assistant head coach position with the team scheduled to report to camp on Sunday.
