WASHINGTON, May 9 (Xinhua) -- Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George underwent a successful left knee surgery on Wednesday, Thunder General Manager Sam Presti announced.
George averaged 21.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.04 steals this season. The five-time NBA All-Star also made a career-best 244 three-point field goals during the 2017-18 season.
George is expected to miss six to eight weeks before returning to normal offseason activities.
