JERUSALEM, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday his country and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached "a full and official peace deal."
In a broadcast press conference, Netanyahu said the move "opens a new era" of cooperation between the two countries and hailed it as "a historic moment of a breakthrough towards peace in the Middle East."
The agreement was announced following a telephone talk earlier on Thursday held by U.S. President Donald Trump, UAE Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Netanyahu.
